Hello there, and as the title says, the game MapleSEA restarts my computer. It doesn't restart at the start-up of the game, but instead restarts at random moments.

Whenever it restarts I would get the Bluescreen and it then asks me to choose whether to start windows normally.

It's not an overheating problem as it only applies to this particular game. It used to work fine before until someday this problem showed up.

Help please! :(

Thank you for the help, but I forgot to mention I'm playing MapleSEA, but when I play Maplestory Private Servers, the same problem persists.

The forum link provided doesn't seem to be the problem I'm facing.

Do you mean the issue persists even after using that patch?

Edit: I can see that the above mentioned forum link doesn't provide the solution for your problem but give a shot, installing the patch. If the problem still persists, then I need to find any other genuine solution.

Hey, I found something. It seems Maplestory Private Servers have hardly earned credibility. One of the bogus servers might have affected your computer now. Here's the solution -

1) Download and Install Free Version of Avast -

http://www.avast.com/

2) Download Trial Version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Install.

https://www.malwarebytes.org/

3) Some PUPs and harmful data could still bug you even though antivirus and antimalware softwares show positive results in full system scan. Download this .exe file and scan your system (no installation required)

http://www.techsupportall.com/adware-removal-tool/

I use the same tool that saved my computer where traditional antivirus betrayed me.

To be honest, I've already tried the patch before you asked me to try. And unfortunately it didn't work. Thanks for the help anyway. :)

I'm gonna try this out. Fingers crossed!

Hi ASDFking,

[A] Repair the Registry:

Using a registry cleaner and fix the problems that found in your system registry.

CCleaner will make you less babysitting.

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Run SFC:

1. Click Start | Run.
2. Type "SFC /ScanNow" and press ENTER.
3. Follow the instructions on your screen.

[C] Run Memory Diagnostics:

Test the computer RAMs for possible defects. Run Windows Memory Diagnostic tool as shown

below:

1. Click Start.
2. Type Windows Memory Diagnostic in the Search Box.
3. Press ENTER.

[D] Restore the System:

Restore the system state to an earlier date. This may help fixing your problem.

1. Click Start | All programs | Accessories | System Tools | System Restore.
2. Follow the wizard's instructions.

1. I'm gonna try the CCleaner method.

2. The SFC finished running and closed the command prompt. Am I supposed to wait for something to happen?

3. Windows Memory Diagnostics showed 0 errors.

4. System Restore doesn't help as all the restore points are a few days ago. Furthermore, this problem showed up a few years back. :p

Now I'm hoping that the CCleaner method works. :)

Alright, then. If CCleaner doesn't help you, then I think the issue might be in your hardware. What's your specs?

Note: After completion of step 2, restart the computer.

- AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor 3.60GHz
- RAM: 4GB
- OS: Windows 7
- GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
- Need any more specs?

Note: What would I be getting upon restarting after the SFC?

Just things to take effect, I gave you a suggestion to restart. In the meantime, I can see that you've missed motherboard in the listing. You might need to update your BIOS and see if it's up to date. Even obsolete version of BIOS can give you blue screen of death while gaming.

Edit: Let's try in all possible and 'safe-to-use' solutions. I'm making my level best, giving you a pathway to eradicate the blue screen while playing MapleSEA.

I don't get the first sentence. :??:

My Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
BIOS version is Award Software International, Inc. FC (I don't know what this is)
But I got it from the system information.

Extra: My friend suggested it could be a memory leak. Any way to check/fix it?

Ok, wow.

1. Anyway, the task manager only showed a slight increase in the Physical Memory Usage History when my computer restarted. If by any chance it's a memory leak, is it fixable? (although the website says it can't be fixed by your own)

3. Also, will I see anything upon restarting after SFC?

4. How should I know if my BIOS is out of date? And how can I update it?

Okay, there are lot of things in here. Let's go step by step.
Try updating your BIOS from this link: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3833#bios
Secondly, I don't know about the 3rd one.
Third, I don't think your PC would have memory leak issue.

Go with the BIOS update and let's see if we can resolve this issue forever.

The 1st one is beta. So, I recommend the second.

Sorry, Pal. I don't get it. What do you mean by 'stops working'?

-> Doesn't it open after double clicking the setup icon?

-> Does it show any incompatibility sign?

If yes for the above or any other valid reasons, either try with beta or some other version located at the same web page.
