Router Speed Tests?

I've been looking into getting a new router, found a deal on the netgear nighthawk really cheap for what it is. While doing research on various routers, there were various tests illustrated on CNET and what not. In these tests it was showing for example "this router's N speed/throughput at 2.4GHz is 211Mbps". How is this possible? My internet speed from my IPS is 30Mbps wired, how are these routers this fast? Researching, my 30Mbps wired is relatively fast so how are they getting these speeds from the router? I mean besides google fiber what is the average internet speed available from IPS's. Thank you.

Because it's not about speed for connection from ISP.
Router can have wireless N connection with such speeds BUT that is just speed on local network. For connection outside of your local (home) network you are always limited by what your ISP provide you with.

So if you would have 2 PCs connected to one router and that router to internet. You could send between those 2 pcs at max speed for example those 200 Mbps, but you could send/download data to/from internet only with max speed you get from ISP so for example those 30 Mbps.

And note to speed provided by ISP 30Mbps is nice connection and probably over average but there are many ISP which offer higher speeds too. I live in Slovakia and got internet from Orange and got fiber...

I live in Slovakia and got internet from Orange and got fiber connection ending right before my router. Speed they officially offer is 250Mbps download 100 Mbps upload (possible to pay for 250/250 too). When I measured it I was able to reach 210-230 Mbps with some good test servers. So yes such speeds would be possible even with right ISP and this is just home usage. If we start about what ISP offer to companies you can start to look to 1-10 Gbps easily or even more.
