I HAVE TRIED EVERY SUGGESTION ON THE INTERNET TO DO THIS. I HAVE INSTALLED AN SFL PCI FIREWIRE CARD AND INSTALLED THE DISC THAT SAYS 1394 DRIVER. MY CAMERA NEVER LINKS UP. DO I NEED SOMETHING ELSE/ I HAVE E MAILED SONY BUT THEY JUST SEND ME AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL WHICH DOES NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE. I AM NOT A COMPUTER GEEK SO IS SOMEBODY CLEVER ENOUGH OUT THERE WHO HAS SOLVED THIS ONE TO HELP ME PLEASE. I TOO HAVE EZCAP...RUBBISH! NEVER LINKS UP. I BET THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE. I WILL BE VERY GRATEFUL TO THE KIND PERSON WHO CAN HELP ME.
I WONDERED IF I NEEDED SOME SONY SOFTWARE OR SOMETHING ELSE BUT I CAN NOT FIND OUT.
THANKS IN ANTICIPATION
THE VIKING.

Please turn off caps lock when typing a message. That said, what programs are you using to capture video from the camcorder? What mode is the camera in when you try to capture the video? The camera should be set the Play/Edit before attempting to capture the video to the computer. Have you tried to connect the camcorder via Firewire and then turning it on? Sony software should not be needed as you can capture with Windows MovieMaker. Basically, I need to know exactly what you have done in an attempt to capture video.
