why need of 2gb 270x when 4gb 270x futuristic graphcis card is there ?

r9 270x 2gb or r9 270x 4gb version.

i think people should buy and save the money for future by buying 4gb verison as it has 2 more extras , it can play for twice the years of what 2gb version can do , so goes for all graphics cards respectively.

i want to know buying 4gb version will it be helpful by making it run for many years , since its made for people who save money right ?

If the 4GB version costs more, how are they saving money? The idea is to give you a choice.

with any single monitor the 2GB video card is plenty , you might be better off with a 4GB card if you plan to run across a multi-screen configuration.

That is the most Spinaltap thing ive read on this forum so far... :D

For now,you wont see any benefit with the 4gb version over the 2gb version unless you play heavily modded games(i.e Skyrim) or have multiple monitors.
Texture resolutions are steadily going up in general,as they have been for +10 years.
But my guess is by the time mainstream games use +3gb of VRAM commonly,the 270x will be far outdated and too weak to play them.
