Hey guys, I ran into an issue on my computer that when I play games it will randomly freeze during them. Ive tried many ways to fix it but it doesen't seem to work. I defraged my disc, Used CCleaner to repair some stuff, Ran a Registry Clean, Did a Disk Repair and nothing was found. I recently had a virus and then I wiped my drive and put in some important files back on it, could that be the reason? Is my HDD failing? or could it be overheating components. It would be great if someone can help me because it is ruining my gaming experience.

Solution
If your hard drive activity LED is on during the freezes (not the power LED, the activity LED), it could indicated a problem with the drive or with the Windows swap file. While no other programs are running, delete the swap file, restart, then if you are NOT using a SSD, run Defrag; then recreate a new Windows swap file.

It freezes, forcing a hard reset. Sometimes I can try to get out of it using Task Manager.

All my fans are still running and the HDD is on as well. The start button on keyboard works sometimes not all the time. Should I buy an anti-virus and clean up the disk more better? Or is it a component issue?

My computer randomly stopped the freezing, But Ill remember this post for next time! If your option doesen't work I can try re applying my CPU cooler, Wiping my hard drive or possibly buy a new one.
