I have just bought a Logitech mX Anywhere wireless mouse, I have installed it on my Desktop Windows 7 PC and it installed and works fine but when I turned off my PC and then back on again the PC boots to the black screen where at the bottom you can select DEL to enter BIOS and it freezes. If I unplug the receiver and reboot PC then plug in after Windows start up it works fine.

I have the latest mouse drivers which were automatically downloaded at install as it didn't come with a disc. I have a Zoostorm Quad Q8200 PC with a Foxconn G31MX Mainboard. The BIOS is Phoenix Technologies and is dated 07/30/2008.

Is this a BIOS issue with this mouse?

Please help?

Hi and thanks for the reply.

This happens at the first boot screen so I don't think it can be a driver issue as I don't think they have loaded at this point, but I may be wrong just from what I have read.

I have tried everything in the link and my BIOS is so old there is only an update from 2009 so not worth doing. I was in the BIOS last night and then plugged in the USB receiver to see what happened and the BIOS screen crashed, no keys would exit and so I had to turn off the PC at the mains, so this does seem like the BIOS has a problem with something in the receiver when plugged into the USB, Have tried other USB's sockets but no change, all very strange.

I guess I am going to see if I can send the mouse back for a refund.

Thanks again for your reply!
