I currently own a hp pavillion something. Its got a Core i7 4700, 8gb 1600mhz ram, and the gpu is an AMD Radeon HD 8570. While that graphics card is fine running games such as minecraft, it wont be much good for other games such as BF4. I only have a 300 w PSU, will upgrade (post some recommendations, going with 600W or above) to something better when I decide what gpu to get. I prefer Nvidia (dont mind AMD tho, not a hater :ange: ) Was thinking of the 750 Ti OR the 760. My personal favorites are the Twin Frozr ones. I dont plan on upgrading for about 1-4 years: Will this system be able to run games AND be future proof?

Solution
Definitely. The 280X will have no problems running BF4 at 1080p medium-high settings. If you go for the Corsair PSU, get an HX or TX model.

Well I want to play at 1080p. Forgot to add that in the post. I dont need ultra performance, as long as I can get smooth 60 fps on about high settings. Also, thanks for your reccomendation of the psu! Will see where I can buy that here in Germany.

I was eyeing the 750TI as well, as it only takes 300W as well, but honestly you can only really go x60 x70 or x80 if you want to be 'futureproof' and those cards (be it 860 or a 660) all demand alot of power, so PSU is the first thing to consider, and make the investment in that it has ALL the plugs needed AND enough 12V Rail for the Video card as well.

Note: Futureproof is 3 years for video cards before upgrade, 5 years for entire PC before it needs to be replace out. If you want 'futureproof' go console, as they all currently last 10 years.

Thinking of getting a R9 280X instead, another bonus for me would be the AMD Never Settle Forever GOLD, as I would have bought battlefield 4 straight after anyways. Would this be a good decision?
