I had to switch internet explorer to software rendering from gpu rendering as today internet explorer started going black and i could not see anything but a black screen....does this mean my gpu card is dying?

Solution
It could be related to all those other problems. It might help if you posted full specs, including everything you used to have and what you replaced it with. If you want to rule out a problem with the GPU and you still have your other 6870, you could always try putting the other card in as your sole GPU, if you were having Crossfire issues, it could be one of the two cards is having problems.
Which card do you have, and which driver revision are you using? If you have an AMD card and you're using Catalyst 14.4, you may want to try rolling back to an earlier version, as I had that exact same problem when using Firefox on Catalyst 14.4, rolling back to 13.12 fixed the problem.

R6870 HD Hawk is the card and i am still using Catalyst 13.12. I have been having some issues which i did not associate with the GPU as the issues were hanging and freezing in some software programs. After multiple re-installs of both the program and windows i have just been working around the hanging and freezing until i can replace my SSD to see if that is the issue. I was running dual HD 6870's but after all the previous issues the system seemed to run better on one. I only had to change to software rending in IE as everything else is running ok. I replaced the power supply, swapped out memory, tested the cpu and gpu but have no answers to date. So the IE explorer problem may just be another symptom of the overall issue or it may be a separate issue.
