Should I get a EVGA K|NGP|N 780 ti or an AMD r295x2

Solution
Regular 780 Ti's in SLI put up pretty much the same numbers as a 295x2, so I imagine that watercooled, overclocked Kingpins, would stomp on the 295x2. In addition to that, SLI performs better than Crossfire and will have less or no stuttering issues, whereas the 295x2 will probably have stuttering issues in some games.

The 295x2 would be better for 4K gaming though, but even still you need crossfired 295x2's to be able to play 60+fps at 4K Ultra.

What are you doing with this build? I assume you aren't playing on a single 1080p or 1440p display.
i would rather have a single more powerful card as the 295x2 is going to have the same crossfire issues that may arise with any dual gpu setup.

why do you want the kingpin? are you going to waterblock the card with a 240 rad and good pump? if not just get the regular 780ti classified as it still wont come close to its full potential on air but you would be saving a good chunk of change.

it should be obvious that the 295x2 is going to be more powerful than any single gpu setup though.

Unless you plan to put the kingping under water and do some major over clocking, I would not recommend spending the extra $100. Go with a 780 ti dual classified. you can get two and run them in SLI for about the same price as the R295X2.

The 295x2 is a monster card (in size) so if you do decide to go with it make sure your case is big enough, I know you need extra width to account for the cooling lines that come out the side.

Since the 295x2 is a dual GPU I would personally go with the two 780 ti dual classifieds in SLI. Having recently replaced my AMD 7970 with a 780 ti I am much happier with NVIDIA then I was with AMD.
