Gaming PC Build £2000-£3000

Solution
That CPU is locked, the unlocked variant won't be released for about a month I've heard. To go with the 4770k, and only go about 100 quid over your current build, you can get 2 290x's in Crossfire for crazy performance :)

Why exactly do you need Dominator Platinum? The MUCH cheaper kit I've included in this build will perform the EXACT same for a lot cheaper....

You may be able to save a few bucks here and there, but otherwise it's a great PC. If you're looking to upgrade things on that in the future though, go ahead and get a 1000w+ PSU just to have some headroom, and for overclocking as well! The GPU is great (I'm personally an AMD fan though :p), but with cards like that you'd want that extra wattage there for overclocking, as I've said before! If you want to go and spend a few pounds more, watercooling is a fantastic investment! Great computer though! Don't need the extra PSU power if you're not going to add cards or overclock it!

Single 1080p monitor?

You are aware, that if I put a GTX 770 in my system that cost me approx. £700 to build using a combination of used and new parts it would perform almost exactly the same as that system?

If you are going to build a system for 3k the only reason I could possibly imagine is if you are going to run a 4k monitor or possibly a multi monitor simulation rig. For just everyday 1080p gaming that system is mental!

You aren't going to be getting near 144 FPS in AAA games with a single 770. If you want max settings and advantage of a 144Hz screen, a 770 will definitely not get you there. At 144Hz, dual 290X's won't even hit 144 FPS in most big-title games.

If the monitor included was a 60Hz one, then I would suggest a 770/280x/290, but that's not the case.

I will go for this build but the reason why I said corsair dominator platinum is because it looks nice with the flashy lights
And also do you think a 4k monitor is a waste of money its £500 from Samsung
