Hello community,
So recently I got this HP Pavilion dv6-3000so. It has two switchable graphics cards that can be crossfired. It is said in the officialc site (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c02245210) and the owner before said he has done it in the past.
The cards are : 4200M and 5650M
So my question is - how do I enable Crossfire function? I searched the whole net but can't find a proper solution. I have 13.9 version of CCC.

Is your google broken?
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02092591.pdf

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=4217072

Your link - http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c02245210 - says nothing about a 4200M and a 5650M. Only the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.

Searching that pdf only talks about switching between battery and AC power. Different graphics levels between the two.

Once again, how do I enable Crossfire?

When I got this laptop Speccy showed me that Crossfire is enabled, but after that I installed Win 8.1 then found out that 4200 drivers does not support win8.1 and got back to win7 but now it's disabled.

This shows that crossfire is possible on this laptop..

Where does that say it is 'possible'?
All I see is a generic statement, relating to various versions of that laptop.
"- Get full PC performance that goes everywhere. The HP Pavilion dv6 offers a choice of the latest Intel® and AMD CPUs for ultimate processing power, plus powerful discrete graphics choices including 1 GB VRAM, hybrid PowerExpress and Crossfire."

Seeing as how that statement talks about Intel and AMD, that is very generic marketing fluff.
Does that relate to your particular version?

Are you sure that the crossfire was enabled?

Yes, I'm quite sure. In fact, I have found a theme on this forum (not sure) before that had the same problem with the same laptop and got his problem solved. The problem is that it only showed askers posts. Like the answers have been deleted or the guy is nuts and was talkin' to himself..
