I already have one cruical ballistix 8 GB DDR3 1600 low profile desktop ram, and found another pair of cruical ballistix 8 GB DDR 3 1600 REGULAR (not low profile) desktop RAM. So if I have 3 sticks in there will that work fine? They're all same specs and everything so I know if I mix and match low profile and high profile it'll work (I contacted Crucial support). My CPU only supports dual channel so I know i won't have triple channel but it'll register the 24 GB right?

Solution
Yes, It'll work.

Your RAM won't be in interleaved mode (as with 2/4 sticks), which will half your effective memory bandwidth. If you only put in one of the two new sticks, or take out the original single stick and put in the matched pair on different channels, you will get better memory throughput.

Also Crucial LP use 1.35 voltage and normal use 1.5 that is another possible source of problems.
Unless you really need 24gb you should get best performance by using those 2 new 8gb stick for 16gb.
