Is 2GB RAM enough to run Windows 8 64-bit?

I have a laptop that is extremely slow. I got to looking into it, and it has Windows 8 64-bit with 2GB of RAM. I figured that this is the problem. Is this an issue or could it be something else?

the processor is slow. if it's just to look at emails 2gigs should be enough but 4 is always better.

how full is your had drive? is it maintained?

do you do cookie/malware/virus scans?

Your answer isn't the solution, I accidentally did that.

Processor: AMD E-100
RAM: 2GB DDR3
HDD: Unsure, only saved one file on there: a picture of a Galaxy Nexus.

Hi, I just recently bought an acer laptop, it about 2 months old and I just noticed that its a bit slow even opening a browser, it took me around about 10 seconds...
Do you think the ram is not enough?

Intel Celeron N2940 (quad core)
2GB ram
windows 8.1 64 bit
