Any help? I can't seem to get rid of this issue. Could it be my graphics card interfering? How would I check this?
Update: So I read online that disabling the s/pdif line in on the motherboard might help. Did that, and nothing. Looked some more and found that the mic might be producing interference. I disabled all recording devices anddd nothing! Looked some more and someone said it may fix it if I disabled the AMD High Definition Audio Device. I did that and it still wasn't working.
I just wanted to see if my graphics card was the issue (as this only happens in games), so I rebooted my PC and went into the BIOS. I selected my i5-4670k's onboard gpu as the default graphics device, then booted it up. When I went to play Minecraft, the static had vanished. I still had sound, and also good FPS (60 with a 64x texture pack).
So now I know my graphics card is (most likely) causing interference, should I return it to Amazon and get a different one? I've had artifact issues in Minecraft as well (huge black/white flickering lines/tunnel looking things across the map), and I feel like it underperforms. I only get 60-70 FPS with a 64x texture pack and shaders. I get about 120FPS with a 64x texture pack w/o shaders, but seeing as I get 60 FPS with integrated graphics this seems mediocre.
If I were to return it to Amazon how would that work? I got the Never Settle Forever game bundle with the graphics card, and already redeemed the games for it (I chose Total War Shogun 2, Company of Heroes 2, and Sleeping Dogs). If I returned the graphics card would they charge me extra for the games or what...? I was thinking of grabbing this (http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Computer-Corp-N770-2GD5/dp/B00CZ58WUI/ref=sr_1_11?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1400438592&sr=1-11) for $315 (Amazon just needs to restock it, it was $315 literally 20 minutes ago), but if they penalize me for the bonus bundle I got would I just ask for a replacement card??
