Ever since i have entered blight town in Dark souls, my Xbox 360 gamepad disconnects often and i blue screened numerous times. I know it would be a good idea to test other games, but i will post this up first and tell you the results of other games. Kinda busy with finals!

My hardware (custom rig):
Windows 7 Ultimate OS
i7 3770k CPU (at stock)
p8 z77 LK motherboard
Sapphire HD 7950 GPU (at stock)
660w PSU (platinum)

How does my computer perform?
The GPU temperature, VRAM temperatures are all below 75 degrees C (my PC is REALLY DUSTY THOUGH). CPU temperatures hover below 60 C and thermal status is detected as "ok". Its also getting kinda hot and humid around here :(. I have just recently analyzed and defragmented my hard drive. Ram is performing normally.

I am leaning towards Dark souls being the reason. But i can't imagine a game really being the reason behind a blue screen!

UPDATE:
I tried to play The Witcher 2 and i still get the blue screen and X360 controller acts up. I have just reinstalled my display drivers and updated them. Still getting a blue screen!!

Solution
What is the error code your getting from the BSoD? should looks something like 0X0000007b look that up and see what it says, also you could try to check the event viewer to see what that says. BSoD are commonly cause by software have you installed anything else other than games?

I am confident this is the blue screen error that has been bothering me.

" Keywords 0x8000000000000020 " indicates a particular blue screen error. Any ideas as how to fix it?

UPDATE:
I have pinpointed that the problem lies on the graphics card (HD 7950). I will update to the latest catalyst and let you know the results!

Results after Catalyst Update to 14.4:
i did not get any blue screen error as i played The Witcher 2. Only played for about 30 minutes though. But it seems like its fixed :D

Seems like your have a CA problem you can check out this link and thttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc774528.aspxry to troubleshoot it. It's possible that a Driver/firmware update will fix it.
