How do i acess BIOS controlls on an HP 7800 pc Function keys do not get me to lan alarm settings

Hello. Please help. In the past, I could access all BIOS setting by hitting one of the function keys. My computer turns on at 8pm every night, so I want to turn off the LAN alarm settings. F!, F2 and others do not bring me to the motherboard power settings. It is a refurbished HP/Compaq x7800 PC running windows 7 home premium. I have spent hours hitting function keys but can never get to the LAN alarm settings. Thanks.

You are probably using a USB wired or USB wireless keyboard.
To access the BIOS you need to use a native PS/2 keyboard plugged in to the keyboard PS/2 port (usually purple colour, green one is for a mouse).

Phillip. thank you for the quick response, but I am already using the PS/2 keyboard that came with the PC. I have this PC networked with my old Pavillion Media Center PC running windows XP service pack 3. Is there anyway to access the BIOS on my new pc using Network Access From the XP machine?
