When I start the PC, my motherboard starts and then shuts off after a second, waits...... then retsarts again and everything seems normal.
Is this normal?
Is this a normal startup for these motherboards?

Good luck with there warrenty service. I am starting a small claims against them.

DO NOT BUY ASUS Please READ ! I bought the ASUS ROG Motherboard. When I powered it up without removing the CPU socket cover the CPU LED lit up right away. Called ASUS support and explained the situation. They had me go through the typical troubleshooting methods for motherboards. Now after the recieved my mother board they are telling me I owe them a $144.00 to replace the board. This is a common practice of ASUS. They could care less about its customers !

I know my ROG Black does this if I disconnect a hard drive, but only once, then it boots normally after it has the right path. My advice would be to make sure you have all your hard drives configured right as far as the boot sequence in the bios. This is a place to start anyway besides any updates to your bios before making warranty or other assumptions that something's wrong with the hardware. I made the mistake of modifying the bios settings and had to resort to factory settings, the only way I could fix it was to flash an update by USB to the bios. After the update everything was fine. Apparently the update was to improve stability, so it all worked out but it just proves be careful in the bios! If you have a ROG board, flashing the bios is pretty easy. Download the update file to a USB from the ASUS Site, plug it in with power off, press the ROG button and wait till it stops flashing, reboot and that's it.(if I made a mistake anywhere this could be so, it's a must to do your own homework here and get all procedures down).

Hope this helps
Mike

When I overclock my CPU, it reboots but then shutdown, then reboot without me touching the restart button on my case, and it shutdown again then reboot the 3rd time, after then it runs normally.

Every time I change the core frequency it behaves like that.
