You would add a 2nd 290 later.

I went with the 290 because I feel it's a better value than the 780 and I know two 290s will outperform two 780s at least most of the time. I do prefer nvidia most of the time though.

the r9 290 is better than the gtx780? and is really a 100w psu required?

The 780 is better in some things and the 290 is better in some things. The 290 is a better value for sure. Depends on your usage. If you're just playing on a single 1080p monitor, and never intend to get a 2nd card, I would probably go with the 780, but if you are using a triple monitor setup, or ultra HD like 1440p, 1600p, 2160p, or think you will run two cards in the future, I would go with the 290.

I picked a 1000w psu assuming you would use 2 cards at some point. If you're not interested in SLI/crossfire, a 600w psu will be fine.

No - http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z87%20Pro3/?cat=Specific...
You'd ahve to add a wifi card.

Or go to http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

ASRock Z97E-ITX/ac

I'd prefer to add a wifi card. Also now - use a Z97 mobo rather than Z87

eg ASRock Z97 Pro4
