Hi,
I've been having trouble with my build locking up (LED's don't do anything). I've tried everything I can think of and I'm at my wits end.
Build Specifics
Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turb )
Mobo: MSI Z77 MPOWER LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s
Disk: TOSHIBA PH3200U-1I72 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA
Memory :G.SKILL Trident X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR
PSU: CORSAIR| HX750 750W RT
CPU Cooling: ZALMAN CNPS9500A-LED 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
GPU: GEFORCE GTX760
What I've done So Far...
I downloaded EVGA PRecisiosn X and Speed fan to monitor and Log Temps. So far nothing seems odd. GPU gets to about 65 C playing games and CPU goes to about 45 C and 35 under normal load.
I thought maybe Power problem because it started Freezing more often...(I was so confident I bought that 750W listed above. It didn't help). With the new PSU it seems to be freezing less often but still with in 20 minutes. Though it seems I can search the Internet and such just fine as of right now.
I downloaded PC-Doctor and Removed GPU:
I do get unknown errors pretty consistently on Stress test there. Advanced Pattern Test etc... This also coincides with a lock up.
I see in my PC Doctor History that I've had a Unknown Driver (usbport.sys) cause a crash but most of the freezes on PC Doctor just say "CPU experienced an unexpected shutdown" <-- Not helpful.
I ran the MEMTEST +86 on my Ubuntu Grub screen. No memory problems. Tested with individual sticks as well.
I ran Window memory Diagnostic... Nothing.
I downloaded Driver Doctor to see if I had bad Drivers... Updated everything and still I freeze.
I'm losing sleep and I can't focus until I figure this out (only somewhat kidding). Hopefully somebody has some promising direction I can look in.
