My PC just freezes every time I start it. It always hangs on windows 8 loading screen.

I tried
Pressing F8 - It also hangs on windows loading screen (on Preparing Automatic Repair Screen)
Boot from Windows 8 Installation DVD - It also hangs on Windows loading screen
Disconnecting 1 hard-disk - Again same
Keeping only 1 ram on PC - again same

My PC specs are:
Intel core i7 860
Intel DP55WB motherboard
Corsair 2GBx4 DDR3 RAM 1333MHz
WD 500GB HDD
Seagate 2000 GB HDD
Nvidia Geforce GTX650 ti

didn't have raid enabled in the BIOS did you?

also, the HD you kept hooked up was the 500g?

No raid option is enabled in BIOS
and yes, I kept the 500GB plugged in as it was the HDD having OS

OK my problem is getting really weird now.
I disconnected both of my HDDs and try to boot with windows 8 DVD, and it booted just fine. It gets me to the setup screen after all.

But whenever I tried to connect any of my 2 HDDs, it freezes again at the windows 8 boot screen (even with DVD boot for windows installation) where rotating dots just stops rotating...

500GB Western Digital is almost 1.5 years old. and 2000GB Seagate drive is about a month. No I didn't pulled these off from old machine. only 500G drive has OS (Windows 8) on it. It was working fine previously.

Today morning, I encountered another strange issue. When I tried to boot with windows installation DVD without any HDD plugged in. After the windows splash screen, the computer shuts down itself. I tried turning it on by pressing he power button on the casing. But didn't showed any activity. No lights were turned on, I tried re-setting the power cable, but no avail. Though motherboard light is on indicating that it is receiving power from power supply...Please help

I just need to know which item is faulty, Motherboard, HDD (any 1 of them), GFX or processor, so that I can replace it.

I think your motherboard is damaged or dying
do you have another desktop pc (if it is a desktop you are having)
than put the HDD(Boot) drive in another desktop and see if it works

how old is your motherboard?
