Hello, I am buying a new PC soon and I have a 500w PSU in my current build. I want to save some money so is my 500w PSU enough for an i5 4670k, and R9 280x build? if not I will get a 750w (It's the same price as the 650w from the same brand so please don't recommend I get lower)

You need 30A 550W - a good one though - made by Seasonic - seasonic 620, XFX 600, Antec HCG 620M

500w from a good brand will be enough but it is kind of cutting it close. If you don't plan on overclocking or upgrading it will be alright. 750w will be a safe bet for the future.

Go with the Corsair CS650M http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GH9NA2I. It's an excellent Gold rated modular power supply that will have plenty of power for your whole system with added peripherals and headroom if you choose to overclock. Sometimes you can even find good deals on used power supplies but your current 500W supply will not handle your setup.

I would say that you go for Seasonic PSUs because they make PSUs for corsair and coolermaster, so automatically the price will be lower and the quality wont at all be compromised
