Hey guys i...I live in india...ive asked my relative to but a msi gtx 770 gaming from newegg. and bring it to india...i wanted to know if supposing a problem comes to my gpu later on...will the warranty be valid to be used in an other country?? I jus want to be sure of it...so anyways thnx in advanced!!!

Solution
Newegg does not control the warranty, MSI does. the only time you return the card to newegg is if the card is dead on arrival. (DOA) even if it is DOA you can still send it back to MSI for them to replace it.

ok but the only problem is that relative wont know how to check for defects or check whether its is doa...so as soons as i get it in india and i find out its doa can i give to the nearest msi warranty holder??

The warranty is with the product not the holder. I imagine they might have a way to tell where the serial number was sold, and as a worst case, they don't even sell that product in India. Your best bet is to contact MSI and ask them.

Worst case scenario... you could theoretically ship it back to (place of purchase) if you need warranty work, but not every company offers an international warranty. They're usually regionalized with the product.

they do sell the product in india but it is Rs.30,000 (approx. 500$ :( :() so its like wayy outta my budget...but the one from online is only Rs19456...so i thought it was a better buy.....

I would simply ask pre-sales. Try contacting someone from their support. Usually they do this as a form of regionalization to prevent international trade from interfering with economy-sensitive priced merchandise. You could get lucky, don't misread me. They could well offer a warranty on it, but I think that they're better placed to confirm that than we are. Especially if you're making a $500 purchase.

Wat do u mean by pre sales...i dont uinderstand ...sry to bother u..

No need for apology. If you were a bother, I wouldn't be trying to help :)
MSI forums may be more helpful than we can be here, it's frequented by MSI customers and probably representatives as well.

The warranty page they offer on their US site suggests it may be regionalized, but perhaps this can offer information:
http://msi.com/page/warranty/

(As for regionalization, it's a nasty thing companies do. Say they sell a product in India and Brazil, they can't be charging the same amount - it could mean a lot more money in Brazil (they have to localize it to the economic conditions there), or vice-versa! So they have to make one cheaper... but what's to stop someone from importing from India to Brazil to get a lower price? Bingo.)
