I recently purchased an Alienware X51 R2 just for the hell of it, there is absolutely no room for any kind of internal hardware installs... i sold my old home build with none of the 4 Hard Drives i had in it... so i want to get some data from them and put it on my new Alienware X51 R2... the old drives i need to get the data from are... 2 WD SATA Raptors and 1 WD Caviar IDE & 1 Seagate Barracuda IDE... i do believe i got an adapter from frys that turned the Caviar IDE into SATA... still have the adapter... Now what do i need or is the easiest way to solve my issue.. just wanna get some data from the old drives... and put it on my NEW COMPUTER...?

Plug the first one in. Check it comes up in bios. Check it's there ion Windows Explorer. Then click and drag to copy over. Applications have to be re-installed - else they won't know where all their bits are - the drives will all be different letters etc.

The do the others - one by one
