Hello everyone,

My brother recently won an intel core i7 extreme edition processor so now he wants to create his dream pc with that at its heart. Him and I have been doing some research and we are trying to figure out the best motherboard for the LGA socket 2011 under $300 dollars. It looks like Asus has some of the most positive reviews on Newegg but I want your opinion. Also I have only built one computer once myself and I used Newegg to buy all of the components years ago. Is Newegg still one of the best sites to get pc components or is there something better out there? And one more thing, how big of a power supply would you need for the Intel Core i7 3970x?

Thanks

the psu you will need, mostly depends on the gpu you will chose!

although a 550w would be enough i recommend this one for further upgradability and unlimited overclocking!
