putting some silver in the reservoir will stop algae growth...
or you can use silver fittings.

Nope.

All proper coolant will either contain a biocide or use ethylene-glycol as a principle component.

The only coolant that will grow algae is tap water.

as far as im aware it doesnt matter. as long as its silver.
just be sure it is silver or you may get science happening within your fittings and fixtures.

the purer the better. like i said much less chance of science happening if its pure.
