Hey guys, I'm going to build a computer in June and I was going to go with the 4590 because I'm not going to be OCing and going with a 4670 (yes, the non-k version) doesn't justify because of their similar and almost equal performance but now with the Haswell refresh I don't know with which one to go.

i5 4570 - 175€
i5 4590 - 185€
i5 4690 - 198€

between these 3 which do you think is better? The PC is going to be mostly for gaming and web browsing but I plan to do some light editing

the config is going to be:

CPU: one of those 3
MB: Asrock B85 KIller
MEM: GSkill Sniper 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9
PSU: XFX Pro 550W Core Edition
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB
CASE: Zalman Z3 Plus
and I'll be adding a r9 270x later this summer (most likely the msi one but I'm still not sure about that)

Solution

No, 30€ not worth for the clock speed difference but you could add that 30 euros and get Xeon :D
i5-4590 is better because of price/performance ratio, Anyway I would wait until 4690k will come and get it :)

Edit: If you don't plan on OC and want CPU for light editing get Xeon E3 1230 V3 for a little more, you'll have i7's stock performance for i5's price :)

The Xeon doesn't have the integrated graphics cards, which I need, because, as I said, I won't buy a GPU in June. And if there's a reason for me not to buy the GPU at the same time is the money so I'm not going to give 60€ more for a CPU that doesn't meet my needs right now. When I say light editing, it really is light. just a couple of videos here and there some photoshop here and there too. But thanks for answering and giving me another option :)

I had already compare all of them but do you think that the clock speed difference is worth 30€ more? That's what I was asking people because I can see the specs on them the real question is if it's worth the money. Thanks either way

The cheapest Xeon here in Portugal is 60€ more than the 4570 and as I stated above, it doesn't have the integrated graphics card which I'll need for some time. It's a shame though, it would be nice

The clock speed determine the performance - which is covered by gpuboss

Might as well buy a new motherboard with the H97/Z97 chipset for futureproofing.

I would buy the Xeon 1230v3 for the performance, it is essentially an underclocked i7-4770, and for the price, it is simply unbeatable.

I really appreciate all the answers but what's the point if you don't read everything I say in other comments and keep suggesting ridiculous things? I don't have the money for that. I had already said that like 2 times and I already explained why I can't go with the xeon. In a perfect world I would go with it but I can't afford a pc with such expensive components right now

ok, here where I live the mb isn't as expensive as I thought it goes for aorund 95€, so I'm sorry, but the Xeon is really something I can't go for since it doesn't meet my needs but thanks for suggesting
