Hello guys! my friend is going to send me a graphic card, budged is around 200-300$ i was wondering which brand or card should i pick, if you could please give me any good idea, note that i am only going to change the graphic card nothing more, this is my pc:

Motherboard: Gigabyte P55A Model: GA-P55A-UD3R (rev. 2.0)

Graphic card: Gigabyte GTX 260 Model: GV-N26OC-896I

CPU: Intel core i5 760 @ 2.80 GHz.

Ram: Kreton 2Giga DDR3 1600 x 4 peaces.

Power supply: GigaByte 450W.

For a good graphics card you need a good power supply. Get a 500W+ PSU from XFX, Seasonic or Corsair (TX, HX and AX only).

What kind of GPU do you need? Do the looks matter? What about the noise? Is the PSU included in the budget?

If you absolutely don't want to change the PSU, you'll have to settle for a GTX 750Ti since it runs on pretty much anything.

That power supply is too small to support a serious graphics card. I would consider upgrading to at least 550w before getting a new GPU. That being said, I run a Asus GTX 770 on a 550w supply and love it. The card is just over 300 at NCIX right now, however considering that you also need a new power supply you might go with an Asus GTX 660. It will have great power for around 200 which leaves you with some money for a new PSU.

It doesn't matter about the GPU, as will for the look and the noise, and the PSU is not included in the budged, it's just my friend he is going to send me a graphic card as a gift.

Since i am getting the card very soon, i was thinking of selling my old card + the power supply, with that money i could buy a decent power supply, problem is, i live in Aleppo-Syria, no more decent PC-Hardware supplies in the stores since the war began, finding a new power supply is a pain.

I was also thinking a lot about the GTX 750Ti, it sounds really optimal for my current pc, point is that i am confused a little bit, since my friend asked me which card to send and i would love to get a something higher than the 750 Ti :)

Yeah i was thinking about the GTX760, it seems to me that there is a big gap between GTX770 and 750Ti.

Yeah, the GTX 760 is a really good card if you change the PSU. The MSI 760 Gaming is cool and quiet and it's pretty powerful too. That's the reason I got it. If you get the 750Ti, be sure to get one without a 6-pin PCIe power connector (your PSU probably doesn't have any).
