Can this be a serious problem (toshiba notebook slow downs)?

Hello,

I am currently afraid that my laptop has a serious problem!
1-2years ago, my laptop started freezing for nothing, like... *FREEZE* and you got to force restart... Well, that is still happening but its starting to get worse, when that freeze would happen it was not a complete freeze, all I know is that the pc was still on, graphics card still on, fan still on, hard drive spinning but no read/write, screen still on and SOUND still on BUT that sound was frozen on a repeating pattern, like repeating all the sound of the last ms the computer was on, and that happens until I force restart the laptop.
Now, the problem is that my pc is getting very slow for some reason, my hard drive has been pushing alot more than usual but I've been closing programs in my processes and sometimes works, others not. Either way, I notice that my CPU does not need to be on max capacity and the sound will freeze for an instant like if it was about to crash but it does not, it has even been happening that the mouse also freezes for a while but then comes back even tho i'm not pushing that much for the PC. It happens alot, like a 3 minute music it can happen more than 5 times, no problems (wich is really annoying).

Now, I remember that I did not have this problem 3 years ago, I could browse the web (online music), play games at the same time and I could even have C4D open rendering sometimes when the render was not too heavy and the game wasn't either.

I have sent a message to Toshiba asking what was the cause of the crashes with all the details of the crash (btw, its like a blue screen but too fast for the error report to happen) and they said it was probably a motherboard problem and I needed to send the PC to their Service guys and they would fix it. The problem is, this laptop does not have warranty and I bet they want to charge me like 100€+ for it even if its just a little problem.

Do you have any idea why this could be happening? The slight freeze at least, the crashes I know can't be fixed by reinstalling the windows again. My windows licence is over, this was my last instalation possible, I own it but the licence has expired now and IF I reinstal it again its got to be pirated and I don't want that.

Hello again, I got some more info on the little freezes, I timed them out and this is the result:
19:09:19
19:10:23
19:11:23
19:12:22
19:13:22
19:14:22
This seems to be a little too well timed, any ideas on a virus that could do this? Its my direction right now.
