1.49GB to 5.46GB would be good, if it wasn't a fact that my RAM is 2x4GB

I have A10 58k Processor, 1Tera WD and ASUS F2A55-M LK2 PLUS. So yeah I think you can go figure that it can handle 8gb ram, which it did before.

It started earlier when my mobo had a black out, I decided to clean it maybe it was getting too dusty and I even removed the fan and CPU to apply new thermal paste.

When I started it, I noticed that my PC was slower on start up like something was clogging so I went to task manager and saw that it was using 78% of the Phys.memory, which was odd until I saw that the system was using only 1.48gb of the 8gb memory. I searched some sites, no luck the other problems seem to be unrelated but I was able to get a tip to reseat the rams. so I reseated them, and Damn so close, I only have 5.46gb Usable.

I think my RAMs are breaking down. So I'm thinking of buying new ones.

Any suggestions?

And do you guys have any solutions to my problem, or maybe tell me that it might not be the ram and why?

I think this all started when a windows update started last night.

EDIT: 5/18/2014 And now it's at 3gb usable... hmm

Run an anti virus (eg Avast) scan on your drive.

Go to Control Panel, Uninstall Programs and uninstall every program you definitely know you don't need.

Don't open so many tabs when browsing.

Don't open so many applications when using the pc.
