So I just got a new motherboard and put my comp back together and when i booted up, my xfx r7850 ghost wasnt recognized. I put it in the main slot, which is a PCI 3 slot. Onboard graphics work so i went in with that and installed my OS, windows 7 64. Installed drivers for the video card, but still not recognized in that slot. So i tried the pci 2 slot and it recognizes and works. However, it says it is running 2.0 gb @4x. Isnt it supposed to run at 16x and also, why the hell wont it work in the pci 3 slot. So i took it over a friends house and tried his sapphire radeon 7800 which is a very similar card to mine and it worked in the pci 3 slot. So there isnt anything wrong with my motherboard. Could there be something wrong with the card where it wont work in a pci 3 slot? I am pretty confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you gone into BIOS and set primary graphics to PCI-E ? if not do that and place in the prime PCI-E slot - make sure you have the latest BIOS and mobo drivers
