My laptop was working fine yesterday but when I switched it on this morning it booted to a screen displaying "preparing automatic repair" and then goes a blue screen displaying the mesage "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. Were just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you". From there the computer reboots and then continues this cycle until I turn it off.

I have tried booting the computer into safe mode but it does not work. The laptop came pre-installed with windows 8 so I do not have access to a disk containing the operating system. I tried phoning Samsung but they couldn't help.

Im really out of ideas here and would appreciate any help. Cheers.

Depending on the laptop, many come with a restore partition in order to basically reload the laptop with default settings. This may be necessary if there are no other boot options and you don't have an OS disc. It kinda sucks because you'd lose any installed programs, files, etc so you'd want to back that data up first.

If you end up ordering an OEM Windows 8 disc from Samsung, you might have more options as far as startup repair.
