Hey guys
I am wondering which of the following settings would be most efficient, and in the case of the Nvidia drivers, what settings to use. Anyways, here goes
I recently discovered that there are settings within the NVidia control panel for things such as anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering. I'm wondering which of the following would be more efficient in, say, games like Battlefield 4, Planetside 2 and War Thunder;
AA settings within the games themselves
AA settings within the NVidia control panel
Or Downscaling on my monitor from something like 1440p to 1080p (as an example)
I have 16GB of RAM, all 3 games are on a solid state, I have a 3570K @4.3GHz, and an EVGA 780 Ti Classified.
Any and all tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Also, I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, but it's midnight here and I'm too tired to think properly :p

From what i've heard about downscaling(though I really don't know much about it) is that if you set a resolution lower than your monitor's supported or highest resolution then the image will be stretched resulting in one pixel occupying 2 or 3 physical pixels on your monitor.(Correct me if I am wrong)

for example, playing at 720p resolution on a 1080p monitor will mean 360 vertical lines and 640 horizontal lines will be stretched to fill the screen.

So my conclusion is, whether you downscale it on the control panel or in-game it will still stretch the image to fit your monitor(if you set it that way).

Hello Intel Celeron
You misunderstood me, you are thinking of upscaling
Downscaling is outputting to your monitor at a higher-than-supported resolution and then having the monitor downscale it to 1080p (Or whatever your screen supports)
No matter, I'll just stick with the standard in-game settings.
Thanks for the help, once again guys
