Hello!

I am trying to purchase a new monitor for my computer. I'm currently using a GTX 760. It will be used for gaming & porogramming. Both of these screens are TN screens.

My budget is roughly $160.

The ASUS VS238H-P seems to be a good monitor. The BenQ GL2460HM has some great features as well, but it has built-in speakers which I don't need.

BenQ GL2460HM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014377

Could somebody with an eye for monitors please help a rookie out?

Somebody told me that the 60 hertz that the BenQ puts out isn't good, but is it enough?

Or perhaps somebody has another monitor suggestion for my budget.

Thank you for your help!

Solution
The Asus seems the best choice.

I don't know what "the 60 hertz that the BenQ puts out isn't good" even means.

Basically look at Customer Reviews. If a product only has a couple don't even consider it.

I have a BenQ GL2450 cost around 230$ couple years ago and i love it. Its native 1080P but i have it at 720p none native since i can't read the text in games in 1080. Its has settings to set sharpness levels and such but if your into colors and all that then only you can tell which one you like. Look for some youtube vids and see how you like it since everyone has different vision. And for the refresh rate its 60hz in 1080 and 72hz in 1024x768 last time i checked from boredom. But for the Asus is Standard Refresh Rate: 75 Hz and BenQ model is 60hz so if you don't mind gaming at 60 fps with vsync, it should be great unless you love screen tearing.
