Which of the following monitors is better and why.

BenQ BL2405HT
Asus VX238H
Asus VN247H
BenQ BL2410PT
Dell P2414H

My main activies would be gaming and watching movies.I do slight video editing but not on a professoinal level.I don't work with Photoshop either.A 120Hz screen is out of the question since I don't play competitive. If you can think of a better monitor in the same price range as the ones mentioned above then feel free to post.

I always thought that the Dell would be the best choice since it's IPS.But some say the 8ms response time will affect my experience.Theres the BenQ BL2410PT with a MVA panel which is supposed to be worse than IPS but better than TN.It has a 4ms response time which should be better. Some say that there's absolutely no difference between 1 and 8ms.I don't know what to believe. Both Asus monitors have a 1ms response time which should be best, but they have a TN panel.

all the ones you mentioned are fine, just don't get caught up in the 1ms woohoo no lag bullshit and end up spending a lot more then what you needed to.

in the military...

It seems you have gotten food posining from eating bs...

IPS = in plane switching, it cause a small amount of latency, 8MS is not something your going to notice, maybe 12+ MS/L. A well tuned TN Monitor will be about as good in color as a IPS. There is also LIPS MIPS PLS and OLED Displays that are all very, very good.

I would really really recommend one of these, you have a 99% chance of being able to OC it to 96 hz and a 60% of being able to hit 120HZ. And its QHD Resolution, looks ALOT better then 1080P, given your PC is fast enough that is.

It looks like a great monitor but first of all I will be gaming at 1080p.Second of all,I believe I mentioned it already, nothing higher than 60 Hz.It's not like my pc is bad but I'd say 60 Hz is pretty much fine for the average gamer, because I don't play competitive FPS games or anything like that.Regardless I don't think I would get 90 fps on most of the games I play.
Are the models I mentioned that bad?
Judging by your answer the Dell would be the way to go.But again IPS panels are not perfect either and that particular model seems to have it's own problems.

in the military, every single LAV and m1 exterior camera was 1366x768 @60/5ms or 2560x1080 @60/5ms, nothing fancy, but they sure as hell got the job done.
