AMD RAM Not working:
AMD A-10 7850K | Gigabyte GA-F2A88X-D3H | AMD Radeon 8Gb R9 Gamer series RAM 2133Mhz | Ultra 550 Watts Bronze PSU | Kingston 120Gb SSD | Toshiba 2TB Hard Drive | Windows 8.1 OEM
I recently built a computer, setup is shown above. I started out with another dual channel set of RAM: the Patriot Viper Extreme 1600MHz.. It was a 8Gb dual channel kit and it served well but i wanted faster clocked RAM. So I got the AMD RAM and installed it. For a few days I only had ONE stick of 4Gb Viper Extreme in my system before I installed the new RAM.
Now my system wont utilize all of the 8GB installed. In system for windows it only says 3.44Gb usable ( .56 is being used for the Graphics portion of the A-10 chip)
I have tried reseating both the DIMMs and the Processor with no help.
It does say the all Ram is installed in the BIOS, but only 4096 Mb is usable.
*one of the DIMMs installed by itself will not boot the system.
