So, I've noticed it only has 3 GB of vram, is that going to be a problem down the road?I was chatting w/ a fellow who said 3 GB isn't enough. I don't plan on doing anything else but playing my games.

More about : gtx 780 question

You are fine especially if you only have one 1080 screen. By the time 3Gb starts being an issue that card will be old anyway.

Will it be good enough to max out games at 1080 at 60 frames?...

VRam is used for loading textures into, and the higher the resolution the higher the texture size and thus takes more RAM. For 1080 resolution you are futureproof for eternity

Frankly, a GTX780Ti is overkill for a 1080p screen. It's more of a 1440p or 1600p card.
For a 1080p screen, it'll max everything out easily at 60FPS.

Yes more than enough. That is really a 1440-1600 card.

SO, basically, a 780 Ti is more of a 1440P-1600P card while a titan and up is more of a 4k card, yes?

No single gpu is yet is on par to output 4k games with at least 60 fps constant at ultra settings. We are still waiting for that technology.

Broadly yes but the Titan also has the full double point precision making it more like a cross between quadro and GTX cards. The Titan also has the 6Gb of Vram making it the best choice for 4K until the 6Gb 780Ti's come out. You will still really need to SLI in order to max everything out.

For 4K you'll need a SLI setup of Titan Black Edition or a AMD R9 295x2.
Or a Titan Z(whatever they release under that name now, but I'm sure it won't be too bad).

Thanks guys. I think I got a little better understanding on how graphics cards work w/ resolutions :)
