Is R9-280X a short-life GPU

A was thinking to buy an R9-280X but I was freaked by how many RMAs in the user reviews at newegg
I was planning for Gigabyte R9 280X OC Rev.2.0
My question is, How long will the card live for 10 hours/day (4 Gaming, 6 Idle) usage with overclocking ?

It will be fine as long you maintain its conditions well. Since a R9 280X is a rebrand of the 7970 GHZ edition, they have been simply overclocked slightly higher so it may be actually unstable out of the box. Just downclock the clock speed until stable or increase the voltage and it will be fine.
