Desktop Right-Click time

Hello,
When I right-click on desktop to refresh, personalize etc... it takes for 16 secs, always.
It doesn't happen in any folders opened or anything, only at desktop, and its really irritating to wait for 16 seconds. I don't know whats causing this but I really wanna fix it...
Please help and thank you.

how many registry errors did it throw up... did you run it more than 1s (you will need to keep running it till you see no more errors) reboot 1s done.
have you used any other desktop apps like win7 manager or iobits advanced system care?
as you could have inadvertently adjusted the windows desktop responce time.
also show hidden files in folder options and make sure you dont have multiple desktop ini's if you do delete them all.(or move them off the desktop into a new folder) and reboot.
