I am in need of a power supply as my old Corsair HX520W is failing me. It has already declined to power my graphics card and today I saw artifacts on screen when running with the iGPU (They haven't returned after I did a power down and then a cold power up). Though I am in a financial crunch right now, I can't shut my PC down in fears of burning it up.
System Specifications:
- Intel Core i3 2100 (upgrade to 3rd gen i5 K-Series planned)
- ASRock Z77E-ITX
- 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws Z 2133MHz
- XFX HD6950 1GB (upgrade to HD7950 planned)
- 60GB Kingston V+200 SSD
- 2TB WD Caviar Red
- Corsair H55
Though I am in a hurry, I would still like to get a good supply which would last me at least 2 years and would run in up to 44C ambient temperatures. I have the following options for the PSU:
- Corsair VS650W
- Cooler Master GX2 650W
- Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 550W
- Xigmatek Tauro 600W
I will be able to buy Corsair's TX series only when I would get my next paycheck which is almost a month away. Please recommend a course of action.
