Celeron 440 Upgrade

I have an old Emachines W3650 that has a Celeron 440 @2.0Ghz and i was wondering what processors of the same family i can put into the Socket 755/Socket T on the motherboard i have hearn that 65Nm motherboards can use 45Nm Processors EX. Q9550

So basicly what i am looking for what is the MOST powerful Socket 755 processor i can put into the motherboard

Do you mean socket 775?
This is the best LGA 775 CPU on Newegg (refurbished), although there may be better ones.

Just because it's the same socket doesn't mean it will be compatible. Especially the older 775 chipsets like this, they are not compatible with newer 775 cpus with 1333 fsb and this one appears to only support up to the ones with 1066. You may need a bios update.
