Im looking for a good gaming pc my budget is $700-$800. I already have a power supply that my friend gave me. and I got a keyboard and mouse. I also have 2 external hardrives. so I was wondering if I should get a cheap SSD instead of an internal harddrive? Ive never built a computer before. BUt ive done some research and Im hoping to look for a good build with at least an I5 intel CPU. I dont care if the graphics card is amd or intel.I also need a decent monitor for at least 1080p and 1900x1200 resolution. I dont care for huge monitors so a 24 inch monitor is fine I used to have one with my old gaming pc.I like to play games like starcraft 2. Guild wars 2. and Rome Total war 2. so If i can find a good build that could play those type of games on high settings that would be awesome. thanks.

Get an internal HDD, not an SDD. SDD's make a very minor increase in performance, their speed increase mainly affects boot times.
Get a CPU like a Intel Core i5 4440 (3.1ghZ Turbo to 3.3)
8gb of Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM
And a 2gb NVIDIA (Or any retail [EVGA, PNY, GIGABYTE, e.c.t.]) 770 or 780.
For your motherboard get an GIGABYTE G1 Sniper m5

All of this will easily run the games you listed.
