Hello
I have been having intermittent connection issues with Comcast for over a month now. I was fine with my Comcast Service but now it is absolutely deplorable. I have taken several steps to troubleshoot the issue. i have a ARRIS Touchstone Cable Modem CM820 DOCSIS 3.0 8x4 modem purchased in March 2014. I have paired this with a ASUS RT-AC66U Dual-Band Wireless-AC1750 Gigabit Router purchased in Jan 2014.This is to say my equiptment is new. I have contacted Comcast and online representative said there was an issue with my SNR and send a tech 2 days later who did some checks and said he found no problems. My Service is still deplorable, i have kept logs and sent them to the Comcast Executive Email address and i have received several nice emails telling me how sorry they are and how frustrated i must be. Yet i still have not had this resolved. I have several days worth of error logs from the Arris Modem. Finally today I have changed over to the Arris/Motorola TG862G Gateway. I did this to ensure that the issue is not related to my equipment but I am still having intermittent service issues where my internet connection freezes. Here are a couple of my snapshots from the Motorola Gateway TG862, i also have several days log from the Arris CM820 if needed, Please HELP ME..I am at my wits end with Comcast and i need someone who can help me isolate this problem. Otherwise I can no longer work from Home.

You have 1 flaky channel it appears. Many times this does not hurt but if it is marginal and the modem keeps attempting to use it you will get poor performance.

The arris device seems to be able to lock the channel on 603 mhz but 12.12 db is not the best value. These are recommended to be between +8 and -8 so 609mhz may also be causing some issues. The SNR on that channel is also close to the 30db but you are still above but your other channels are better.

This is very tricky to say. I have had then run perfectly fine with the number way out of wack from the recommended settings. I would see what the ISP has to say. Generally they will blame the building cabling so you might as well check all the connection are tight and clean since they will ask you to do that anyway.
