I'm sure if I could find these parts in $ they would be MUCH cheaper, I've seen that happen around. Also is there anywhere I could reduce the price? Plan to add another GPU in due time and keep upgrading it...

Also if anyone could please link me to a good keyboard and a good mouse to get with it I'd be grateful. Also, will I be needing a wireless network and wired network card? the above one only contains a wireless one as I've read that the motherboard comes with one for a wired one??

Solution

A search of benchmarks will put your mind at rest about i5 v i7, there is either no difference or it is tiny between the 4670k & 4770k.

I am not using multiple monitors so wont comment.

I am running a 4670k & 780 3gb on 1080p and its just superb. My game of choice at the moment is Titanfall and I am running this maxed out on every setting with V-Sync on. At 60fps my gpu sits at around 74% usage and has peaked a few times to 92% running at stock...
Is this for gaming? If so then the easiest way to save money is by going for an i5 instead of the i7. Benchmarks show some games may get you an extra 2-4fps but in most there is no difference.

Also what resolution will you be gaming at? If 1080p then 6gb vram is pointless, the 3gb version is more than enough, you wont see any benefit with 6gb.

Yeah it's for gaming use and everyday use too. I plan to add more than one screen and more GPUs later so I'm not sure if that would affect the amount of vram I should get...I could try to reduce from an i7 to i5 to lower the price too so long as the quality isn't reduced too much
