So, I'm finally getting a new desktop first time building a PC. I don't know which Power Supply and which GPU to get. I'm going to overclock my CPU (list below) and my GPU to get more performance. The games I want to play are BF4, Titanfall, and other fun games. I want to run them on HIGH and, I also want to do something like DUAL SCREEN one for gaming and for browser during gaming. I hope you guys get what I mean. Budget for GPU around 350 below and PSU under 120

Parts list:

AMD FX-8320

ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0

Corsair Vengeance Pro Black CMY8GX3M2A1866C9 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1866 CL9 1.5V Dual Channel Memory Kit

Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Crucial M500 CT120M500SSD1 2.5in 120GB

Corsair Cooling Hydro Series H100I

*Is my ram good? Will it work with my CPU? And lastly is my build right, and will it work? :D  You help is appreciated!

What is your budget? You don't have a gpu and the FX series of processors do not have a built in gpu.

get a 770 or a r9 280x. for you multi monitors will greatly benefit from a lot of graphics card RAM, like 3 or 4GB . Power supply stick with 650W of Seasonic, Antec, XFX, or a Corsair that isn't CX unit

For $ 350 GPU, I would select a n Evga GTX 770 SC. For the $ 120 PSU, I would select this XFX MODULAR 650 watt PSU.

EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Cooling 02G-P4-2774-KR GeForce GTX 770 ---on sale $329.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

XFX P1-650X-XXB9 650W ----------on sale $109.99

The RAM is fine.

which one do you think is better for the GPU, and is 650 gonna be enough for my overclocking? And should i get single rail or multi rail? :$ sorry for so many questions. :(

2 rails is good for sli but it isn't necessary. a lot of newer PSU are using 2 rails so that is fine either way, just make sure it has a "combined" amperage on the 12v rail (it might have 2 rails with 20amps each but online has "combined" of 38 instead of 40)

My favorite brands for graphics cards are: Nvidia, Sapphire, XFX, ASUS (Direct CU II cooling), MSI (Twin Frozr cooler), Gigabyte, or PNY or HIS. even the powercolors and diamonds shouldnt be 'bad'. the 770 is better for a single monitor, the 280x is better for multi monitor and higher resolution monitors if it has more Vram.

they will both overclock alright (you don't see huge gains this way) but the 770 should overclock a but better and will at lower temps. (I imagine the 280x is clocked highly as it is)

Or you could get the 290 as suggested in my build. It has an even higher amount of VRAM

yes for high res and multi monitors the 290 would be even better. still stick with the quality brands (Nvidia, Sapphire, XFX, ASUS (Direct CU II cooling), MSI (Twin Frozr cooler), Gigabyte, or PNY or HIS).

Thanks for the help! Appreciate it! Is my ram bad for the CPU or its okay? Because i went on cosair website and saw this ram only work with INTEL?

That RAM is wonderful and should work with intel or AMD CPU's. in fact that RAM is above average for most of us here. Generally 1600 Mhz at CAS 9 is plenty (CAS/Mhz =Latency). Latency is basically how fast your RAM is, and thats how you figure that out (a little lesson in performance). 9/1600 would be 0.005625 seconds, or 56.25 nanoseconds. The RAM you picked out is 9/1866 = 48.23 nanoseconds, in terms of RAM thats a lot faster

The RAM you selected is good for any system with DDR3 memory (which is everything current).

The best brand for GTX 770 is EVGA then ASUS then MSI or GIGABYTE (in my opinion).

The RAM CAS doesn't represent speed. The RAM type represents the RAM speed (the higher the DDR3 type the faster the RAM). The CAS Latency or CL represents the access time of the memory (the response time in nanoseconds approximately). This is basically the time between RAM being activated and the response.

So look for the lowest RAM DDR3 - CL (the price of the RAM goes up as the CL goes down). And look for the largest RAM DDR3 type (the price of RAM goes up as the type goes up). For example, DDR3 type - 2400 and CL - 5 would be very expensive, currently.

Yeah that is what I meant. I would never reccomend the reference card to anyone. Unless they are my enemy...
