You want a matched set of RAM. Get 2x4gb. 1600mhz

The CPU is not ideal. Skyrim works WAY better on intel. You would definitely be better off with an i3.

If skyrim is your main concern, get an i3 4150. With this get a b85 motherboard.

Get an 8gb kit of RAM. two 4gb sticks. 1600mhz 1.5v

The rest is fine, but you have no PSU listed.

Skyrim is a single threaded game and like Tiny Voices said it would be better to go intel. A core i3 4130 or I5 44xx are both good choices, get whichever one is in your price range.

Get an i5 4430 and a b85 or h87 motherboard.

Also get the RAM like I suggested.

I would do something like this. It should max pretty much all modern games at 1080p.

Skyrim will run better on Intel CPUs... But will probably also run better on an AMD card than an Nvidia card. Skyrim doesn't have any new graphical affects or a new API (PhysX, DX11, tesselation, etc), it's mostly using better versions of the same effects Oblivion and Fallout 3 used. And AMD cards are markedly stronger in old effects like that.

Skyrim's memory use is also pretty inefficient, and heavy mods can push it over the 2GB mark. Even Crysis 3 isn't as memory hungry as modded Skyrim... Which just makes Bethesda look worse really.

So maybe a 3GB R9 280X instead of a 2GB GTX 770 for Skyrim.

$900 is your max budget?

Do you need a monitor or an OS?
