I've been trying to build a pc on partpicker with a i5 4670k and need a good motherboard. The z87 e4 looks great (by asrock) but there is one major concern I need an answer to! Will it run on a 1080 display? On the site it says something about 4k/2k resolution and it confuses me weather I can use a 1080p monitor (google search for the product and check their page for it to see)! Please help me understand this information!

Asrock is just exclaiming that its motherboard can output at 4K resolutions.
However, this doesn't affect the fact that you want to run a 1080P monitor. You can just plug in the monitor and run it at 1920x1080.

False, he doesn't need a discrete GPU to be able to run 1080p. The HD 4600 is capable of outputting at 1080p.
But this is all moot if he is using a discrete GPU anyway.
