hey guys

yesterday I made a new pc and it is a high end gaming pc for sure.

specs
i5 4670k
r9 280x amd gigabyte
ram 8gb corsair vengeance
psu 650 watt corsair
gigabyte z87 ud3h

i got 60 fps average on borderlands 2 with max setting and i got 50 fps average on mc with max setting too. what is wrong here? Im pretty sure I updated my gpu driver... thanks

Solution
I wouldn't really call it red circles, but (1) weird oval :)

surprisingly for your card, you don't want the 14.4 driver, it has stability issues with the R9 280X in particular, you want one of the 13.XX series drivers.
Borderlands 2 sounds about right, but but mc is low. I have the green team version of your build and I see near 600 fps in minecraft maxed out. Less when on extreme render distance. :\ Are you using multi core in minecraft? Are you using 4 core turbo? Is the 4670k overclocked? Is it well cooled? There are so many variables.

nope i havent overclock the i5 4670k ... the temperature is extremely finee.. and what do you mean with the mullti core and 4 core turbo?

I tought I can get 100 fps average for borderlands 2 with that max setting.. or am i wrong about that?

what do you think?

I don't know about borderlands, but max settings on an older game still usually pushes new computers. Multi-core turbo optimization is a setting in the BIOS that lets the chip turbo to full. The 4670k has a turbo algorithm that lets it clock itself up to something like 3.9Ghz when one core is loaded, 3.7 when 2 are loaded, 3.6 when 3&4 are loaded. 4-core turbo lets all cores turbo to that 3.9Ghz. Multi-core in minecraft is a feature added my optifine that allows minecraft to use 2 cores instead of only 1. It's really helpful.
