Accidentally bought a monitor mod it?

So I accidentally bought a monitor off ebay that was broken, can't really say accidentally because I did purposely bid on it however I didn't read the description before I bid because I seen 10 dollars and two minutes left turns out the monitor is cracked....however to try and find the silver lining in it I'm wondering if I would be able to replace the screen and then maybe make it a touchscreen? it's a 24 inch monitor I mean it's already broken so might be fun to play with if it's possible therefore I thought I would ask you guys

Is it possible to do? to take a standard monitor and make it a touchscreen?

edit: as in add a digitizer to it sorry I couldn't remember what the touchscreen part was called on a monitor

is doable but not worth it, the cost of a touchscreen is quite a lot and to put it in a lousy frame would not be good, on top of that it would be a pain and a huge hassle, you'll have to do a lot of modifications. Best to just buy a new touchscreen monitor.

yeah I was trying to look up some ways to do it but really just wouldn't be worth it :/ just chalk it up to loss, wouldn't have cared as much if not for the 16 dollar shipping x.x lol thanks for your input guys
