Hi ,I'm aiming for a budget (micro ATX is cheaper) gaming PC build and I can only buy from PB tech because I live in new zealand.
I already have 8 GB of ram (4x2 so I need 4 dimms in a motherboard)
So I was wondering if this build is compatible (power usage etc):

case:

PSU:

MotherBoard:

CPU/APU:
http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=CPUAMD6600&name=AMD-A8-6600K-4-Core-Max-Freq-4.3GHz-4MB-Cache-Sock

GPU: (this is optional, I'm only playing Minecraft and TF2 at the moment)

Question: do APUs get really hot, will I need an aftermarket cooler?

Solution
You shouldn't have to go into safe mode to get all your drivers. Just put in the disk and it will take you through setup, then update all drivers from there. And the psu should be more than fine! Up
OAS some pics when you are done so we can see it.

Shouldn't need an aftermarket cooler, a great tool to check compatibility is pcpartpicker, it will allow you to also find the lowest prices on anything you are looking for. I would check it out. Good luck

Ok I did that and It said: Estimated Wattage: 238W even with the graphics card so the 550w power supply is enough?

Also, I have a hard drive with windows 7 64 bit, can I use that and boot in safe mode and then Install all of my hardware drivers?
