Since it's not working you'll need to attach the hard drive to the new PC (assuming it's still working) then find the files you want to transfer.

Attaching HDD to new PC:
Method#1:
a) shut down PC
b) open case
c) attach the SATA power and data cables
d) Boot into the motherboard BIOS (DEL)
e) check the Boot Order to make sure it doesn't boot to the new drive (or skip going into the BIOS and just do it if you get an error or can't boot into Windows)
f) Navigate the old drive and copy the files you need

Method#2:
Get a USB device like the Thermaltake BLacX:

SAVED GAMES:
These are often somewhere in the "Documents" folder or further down in the "Documents->My Games" subfolder. If you can't find a specific game then Google for the Save file location.

When the game is reinstalled on the new PC you should simply write the folder back to the exact location (don't copy the entire Documents folder though).

STEAM GAMES?
If you have Steam you don't need to re-download all your games:

1) Install STEAM on new computer and login
2) Copy the STEAMAPPS folder to overwite the new one (may need to reboot)
